I have several missions for this new year, but today I am focusing on embarking upon one particular mission: EXERCISE!
Normally, I go to Curves, but their hours are starting to feel somewhat restrictive. It's definitely conveneice that got me to go to that particular gym because they are less than .25 mile from my house and it takes only about 30 minutes to workout, so I don't feel like I have to set aside a lot of time for it. Also, no one I know goes to that gym!! However, I'm thinking about going to another womens' gym a little further from my house. I heard about it through a co-worker and she said that they offer a lot of classes along with the standard exercise equipment. I am sorely tempted to switch gyms, but I'm afraid I will feel discouraged about going there because:
A. It's further away and the traffic going that way can sometimes be horrendous
B. People I know go there (I don't like to converse at the gym! It's not social hour.)
C. If I drive all the way out there, I might feel obligated to stay for an extended period of time, and then not show up for another week because of the memory of the traffic.
So...switch or not? I had plans to stop at Curves today after work, but I'm thinking about giving the other gym a trial run. They might even be cheaper! That's always a plus. I'm going to try to google the other gym and see if I can take a look at their plans...
Regardless of which gym I choose, I definitely need to drop at least 10 pounds to get back to my normal weight. I want to stay in shape and feel healthier. Right now I've noticed that I tend to stay away from junk food and then indulge in it when I have it around. So instead of eliminating it completely, I think I'm going to buy some and just keep it around so I can have in moderation. Usually Dove milk chocolates with the caramel filling is satisfying.

Really? Dove milk chocolate with caramel? Wouldn't you rather have something with a cookie crunch, like Snickers?
